Secondary to the great reputation and credibility that Dr. Kahabuka has as a public health research consultant, she was trusted enough to support the following high-level activities:

 

1.       

May – Dec 2022

Supported, as an independent consultant, development of the Amref Health Africa in Tanzania Strategic Plan 2023 – 2027 and its Annual Costed Implementation Plans. Dr. Kahabuka roles under this assignment included, conducting a situation analysis to identify: 1) global and national priorities, 2) donor priorities, 3) high-effective approaches and 4) best practices to inform strategic planning. Dr. Kahabuka also lead information gathering activities among key stakeholders for Amref in order to gather their opinions of Amref’s strengths and weaknesses as an organization as well as what they considered were opportunities and threats for Amref during the next strategic period. She also provided leadership for the strategic planning workshops among Amref staff, including senior leadership team and members of the board of directors.

Supported, as an independent consultant, quality assurance of Research, Studies and Evaluations commissioned by UNICEF Tanzania. Dr. Kahabuka’s roles for this assignment included conducting a technical review of inception reports (including data gathering tools) and final reports of findings for research activities commissioned by UNICEF Tanzania country office.

Part of Technical Review Panel for Funding Applications Under Human Development Innovation Fund (HDIF); which was a five-year, £ 30 million UK Government supported challenge fund to create social impact in education, health and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) across Tanzania. Dr. Kahabuka was part of the technical review panel that was responsible for providing rigorous technical assessment and scoring of concept notes submitted to HDIF for funding.

Part of technical leads for business plan development to shortlisted candidates under Human Development Innovation Fund (HDIF). Dr. Kahabuka was part of the technical leads who were responsible for providing technical support to shortlisted applicants to develop their innovations to a full business plan in line with HDIF requirements for submission to round 2 evaluations.

Supported, as an independent consultant, development of Amref health Africa Tanzania (2018-2022) Country Strategic Plan along with resources mobilization plan and Business Plan. Dr. Kahabuka supported the strategic planning process as an assistant to the strategic planning consultant. Her main roles was supporting information gathering activities and co-facilitating strategic planning workshops.
